Whilst case study interviews are generally considered to be the more challenging side of the management consulting job interview, it is important to still be aware of (and practice answering) other types of job interview questions that you will inevitably face when interviewing with a top management consulting firm or any company for that matter! After all, the actual case question may only be 30 minutes of a 1 hour job interview. The remaining time will be taken up with a discussion of your education, qualifications, work experience and life in general. How this is done varies greatly from company to company, from a casual conversation to a more structured set of behavioural job interview questions with the interviewer writing notes based on your responses.

Below you'll find several common behavioural job interview questions that you may be asked as part of a management consulting job interview as well as some consulting specific job interview questions. Print them out and try to think how you might answer each of these job interview questions if they were asked to you. For best results practice answering these job interview questions with a friend or family member.
